Coogee Boathouse is a waterfront venue located in North Coogee (WA 6163). With a focus on local produce, the restaurant is currently looking for a full-time Chef to join their team as soon as possible.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Create and update menu that highlight the freshest local produce, ensuring a seasonally driven offering that aligns with the restaurant’s waterfront theme
Work closely with local suppliers, farmers and fisherman to source high-quality & sustainable ingredients
Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, paying special attention to the quality, presentation and flavour of each dish
Develop creative specials
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including managing staff, order supplies and inventory control
Ensure the kitchen adheres to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Skills:
Qualification in Commercial Cookery OR Kitchen Management
At least two (2) years of professional experience
Previous experience with Australian cuisine will be highly regarded
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent leadership skills
Flexibility to adapt to the availability of seasonal produce.
Annual remuneration: $73,150 + superannuation
